The first Active Gamer Australia gaming school vacation program was held in Canberra in October.

It was held at the Barracks Games & Tech Centre on Northbourne Avenue and run in conjunction with F45 Training, the physical activity partner for the event.

Kids were treated to some of the latest game titles and had a fantastic time going through a gym program with the F45 Training crew.

The week-long program was an enormous success and left plenty of kids and parents happy.

A few kind words from parents.

"William really enjoyed the program and loved Ben.  He would definitely be keen to do it again and I think the concept of balancing gaming with physical activities and teaching kids about responsible gaming etc is great."

Jennifer, William's mum.

"Riley very much enjoyed the program. His ideal school holiday is spending the whole time playing video game, but I was concerned that it would be literally all he would do (including forgetting to eat and get dressed!). It was great for him to be able to do what he loves in a supervised environment, meeting new people (who are also interested in the same thing), playing in teams and having some off screen time. He also loved the healthy food options that were provided.

I would definitely recommend the program to others."
