If your child/children attend Before or After School Care then you will likely have a good idea about how the CCS works, but we know that many families in primary school haven’t used the CCS for a while.
Most families are eligible for the CCS to offset the registration cost of the Active Gamers program and some families can now get as much as 90% off. The precise calculation for how much subsidy each family is eligible for is different and managed by Centrelink. We can’t tell you what your subsidy percentage will be, as it depends on a range on personal circumstances including your household income, number of children and hours already used. Here is a guide that might help: Click here to check Child Care Subsidy
The process of obtaining the CCS for your registration at Active Gamers is as follows;
1/ Enrol
If your child is not already enrolled with Active Gamers, fill out the registration/enrolment form on our website. Please make sure you include correct CRN numbers and dates of birth for your Child AND the associated adults.

2/ Sign the Complying Written Agreement (CWA).
After you have been issued with OWNA login details, login to the app or web portal and find the ‘Sign CWA’ menu item associated with your child. Sign the form and submit. This is a requirement for the CCS if it has been 3 months since your child’s last day at Active Gamers. See this guide for instructions:
Sign the CWA in OWNA
3/ Confirm in MyGov
Once we have processed your enrolment and submitted the Child Care Subsidy application to Centrelink, you will need to log into your MyGov Account and confirm the enrolment. This CCS Guide will step you through the process. You will be notified by the Centrelink once the Subsidy application has been submitted.
PLEASE NOTE:
IF YOU DO NOT CONFIRM THE ENROLMENT IN MYGOV, THE SUBSIDY APPLICATION WILL NOT PROCEED. This confirmation needs to be completed before the end of the first week of childcare. You may be liable for the full daily fee if the enrolment remains unconfirmed in your MyGov account.
4/ Payments
For the Autumn, Winter and Spring programs, we reconcile accounts in the week after our program has run. This delay allows for subsidy payments to settle. If there is a balance due this will be debited from the account/card you set up as the payment method when you made your booking. We typically process direct debits on the first Friday after the holiday period. If no payment methods are set up, we issue invoices for balances due. If there is an amount owed to you, your account will be credited, unless you request a refund.
For the longer Summer holiday period we reconcile CCS payments in the week after the week of care, and process direct debit payments on the Friday after the week of care.
Documents to support any applications for ACCS (Additional Childcare subsidy) should be submitted to us in advance of the week of care for each holiday period.
Please note that if your dealings with Centrelink are delayed or not undertaken then we will need to send an invoice for 100% of the outstanding registration fees.
